Well, I seem to have a problem recently with getting MMOtel2 to work for someone, so I post a little mini-tutorial here:
First, goto mmotel.googlepages.com, and go to downloads.
Second, download the client package (be sure to save it to somewhere accessible) and unzip it. If your older system cannot handle zip files, download 7zip. It's easily the best compression tool/manager.
Third, make sure tilesall.bmp, guybig.bmp, and MMOtel2.exe are in the same folder.
Fourth, run MMOtel2.exe. Up comes the logon box. Right now, there is only one server on my registered server list (which can also be found on the MMOtel2 site) so select that. It's my server, and it's not full time, but you may happen to catch it on.
IF YOU GET AN ERROR WHEN RUNNING IT:
Diagnostics:
1. I can't start it; an error comes up when I double-click mmotel2.exe.
Solution: Goto the download section of the MMOtel2 site and download the All-In-One controls.
2. I get an error when connecting, but I can start it.
Cause: The server is off or you can't connect. I can't fix that.
Ack! I get an error when running the AllIn1 Controls!
Solution: Double click InstMsiA.exe and if that doesn't work, InstMsiW.exe. Then double click BTLFreakRuntimes.msi.
That's it!!
